Barbecued Beans

This crowd pleaser is perfect for summer cookouts.  The recipe serves 12.

8 oz. ground beef

8 oz. bacon chopped

1 small onion, chopped

¼ cup ketchup

¼ cup barbeque sauce

2 Tbls prepared mustard

2 Tablespoons molasses

1 ½ Tbls. Backyard Patch Chili Blend

½ tsp salt

1 16 oz. can pork & beans

1 16 oz. can kidney beans, drained

1 16 oz. can butter beans, drained

Brown ground beef with bacon and onion in saucepan, stirring until crumbly, drain.  Add remaining ingredients (except beans) and mix well.  Stir in beans.  Spoon into 2 ½ quart baking dish.  Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Grilled Bruchetta Chicken

4 small boneless chicken breast halves

1 tomato finely chopped

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/4 cup olive or vegetable oil

blended with 1 1/2 Tbls Backyard Patch Garlic & Herb Combination

Place large sheet of heavy-duty foil over half of grill grate.  Pour 2 Tbls. of Garlic and Herb Combination in oil over the chicken breasts in a plastic bag.  Turn bag over a few times to coat chicken thoroughly.  Refrigerate 10 min. to marinate.  Remove chicken from marinade (discard excess marinade).

Grill chicken on uncovered side of grill for 6 minutes.  Meanwhile combine cheese, tomatoes and remaining 2 Tbls. Garlic and Herb Combination in oil.  Turn chicken over and place cooked side up on foil on grill.  Top evenly with tomatoes mixture.  Close lid.  Grill an additional 8 minutes or until chicken is cooked through (170 degree internal temp.)
